U14 footballers meet The Railyard in Football Championship Semifinal.

St. Martin’s U14 team played The Railyard in the Semi final of The Football Championship in Palmerstown on Monday 9th May  after what can only be described as a bezare turn of events at Kilkenny GAA HQ. St. Martin’s lads were determinded from the start and registered 1 goal and 3 pints immediately. The Railyard came back into the game however before half time and we were only 1 pint up at the break. After some tough talking at half time St. Martin’s troops fought for every ball and with 10 minutes to go the game was anybodys untill our boys broke loose and scored pint after pint and a few goals for good measure. Final score 4-10 to 2-5. It was an excellent display of team work and never-dye attitude from each of the lads and we wish them well now in the County Final against Gowran.
