St Martins had a great win over a fancied Carrickshock side and advanced to the Quarter Final of the Senior Hurling Championship.Matters wer in even for the first quarter then Martins pulled away to lead at halfway 1-11to 1-5.The second half Martins kept in front to run out winners 1-19 to 1-10.The large attendance were treated to a good game in lovely conditions. The Quarter Finals are due next weekend the draw is on Monday.

Championship action
St.Martins face a busy weekend with both our Seniors and Juniors in Championship action,first into action are our Seniors who play Carrickshock on Saturday inNowlan Park and on Sunday our Juniors Play neighbours O Loughlin Gaels best of luck to both.
First Title for Junior B
A first Title for Saint Martins at this grade after a great game between two good sides .The Rower Inistioge were first to settle and dominated the early exchanges only some last gasp defending and good saves kept Martins in the game and when Martins scored a great Team goal they went onto lead at half 1-6 to 0-8.In the second half Martins added nine points to four for Inistioge to claim this historic Victory.Martins lined out without Damien Maher following an injury in the North Final also lost forward Brian Malone to injury at the start of the second half.Dermot Lalor accepted the Cup from County Board Chairman Paul Kinsella who congragulated both sides on their sportmanship and Martins on winning.

North Champions
St Martins are North Junior B Champions after defeating Erins Own in a great contest at Ballyragget.The standard of the hurling was top class despite the high wind. Erins Own had first use of the wind and led at half time by 1-9 to 1-4 . Wind assisted Martins set about reducing the lead in determined fashion and added twelve points ,despite heavy rain in the last minutes the standard of the game never dropped ,great credit to two fine teams .This was Martins first victory at this grade.The Cup was presented to Martins Captain Dermot Lalor by Northern Board Officer Donal Brennan.Final Score 1-16 to 1-11.

Martins win replay
St Martins made no mistake in the replay of the Northern Junior B Championship against a batteling Lisdowney side in Ballyragget.Martins lined out without the injured Tom Morrissey,and led at the break 1-8 to 0-6.The second half was was just as exciting as the first with the final score 2-11 to 0-9,our opponents in the final are neighbours Erins Own next weekend.

First Win
St. Martins got their first win of the League against Graigue Ballycallan at Nowlan Park this evening.Martins were generally on top but had a lot of wides in the first half and led at the break 0-6 to0-5.Martins pulled away in second half and won 1-16 to0-12.

Junior B draw
St Martins played a very competive draw in the Northern Semi-Final of the Championship against Lisdowney in Ballyragget.The sides were level at the break S.M.1-7 to 0-10.Martins improved inthe second half but an injury time free for Lisdowney tied up the game at 1-15 each.

Martins win rematch
St.Martins beat Clara in the refixed Junior B Championship which was abandoned on Wednesday due to a serious injury to Martins midfielder Mick Keane.Despite going two goals down midway through opening half Martins went on to lead at the break 2-7 to2-4.Martins kept up the preassure inthe second half to win by 4-15 to 3-7.G00d to see Mick at game.The game was played in Muckalee.

St.Martins lost out to Erins Own in a well contested Byrne Cup Final played in Ballycomey.Erins Own led at half by one goal 1-6 to 0-6,this was a lead they held to the end to run out winners 1-12 to 1-9.A big attendance turned up for the game on a nice evening.Paul Kinsella CountyBoard Chairman presented the Cup .

St.martins lost out to Galmoy inthe semi-final of the Northern Junior Hurling League.The game was played in Freshford and Galmoy led at half time 0-10 to 1-1.Martins made agood start to the second half andreduced the lead to two points but Galmoy finished the stronger to run Out winners 0-18 to 1-8.
