Tom Kinsella Memorial Cup

St. Martin’s hosted Oulart The Ballagh of Wexford in the final of the Tom Kinsella Memorial Cup in Coon which was in splendid condition for the game.  In front of a nice crowd, the sides notched up three points apiece before St. Martin’s first goal came from Robert Shore but things went downhill for the homeside as Oulart picked points from all distances.  The half time score stood at Oulart the Ballagh 0-13, St. Martin’s 1-6.  The visitors picked up where they left off in the second half but before the end, St. Martins had one last goal left in the tank as Thomas Breen found Robert Shore who sent the ball to the back of the net once more.  Oulart the Ballagh ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of 0-26 to St. Martin’s 2-13.  Thanks to Oulart and Erin’s Own who participated in the tournament and organisers and we look forward to next year!
