St. Martin’s minors fight back in Football league opener.

St Martins minors completed a spirited comeback to claim 2 points in the roinn a football league our first outing of the year pitted us against a strong O’Loughlins team under lights in muckalee with O’Loughlins getting into the game quicker we found ourselves well down after the 1st quarter 2:3 to 2points. After some team switches we found new belief and went in at half time 2:6 to 1:3 down. The 2nd half didn’t start according to plan when o loughlins hit us for 1:2 to open up a lead of 3:8 to 1:4 with 20 minutes remaining. When many a team might have wilted this group of lads rolled up the sleeves & ground out a victory with some well taken scores to win on a score line of st martins 4:7 O’Loughlins 3:9.
