League Semi-Final
Muckalee had home advantage in the league semi final against near neighbours Railyard who made the short trip to Coon. Two early pointed frees from John Maher gave Muckalee a decent start but Railyard opened their scoring in the twentieth minute and went on to lead at the break 1-3 to 0-2, the goal came from a high ball into the square that took a deflection in added time. Railyard added three points to build up a commanding lead but Muckalee came more into the game at this stage and played some of their best football with points from midfieldiers Joe Maher , Bryan Byrne and John Maher to leave a goal between the sides but the County Champions held firm and finished strongly with two points in the closing minutes. Final score 1-8 to 0-6
