John helps UCC to Fitzgibbon Cup Glory
John Mulhall played a major role in UCC winning their first Fitzgibbon cup in eleven years. On Friday UCC beat Waterford IT 1-18 to 2-14.
John scoring 0-5 (1sl) of that. Then on Saturday evening in Parnell Park they took on the fancied UL Limerick in the final.
UCC took the game to UL from the start and led at half-time by 0-10 to 0-06.
After the restart UCC scored two goals one coming from John and after that it was only a question of how much they would win by.
Final score UCC 2-17 UL 0-14.
