J. J Kavanagh & Sons Junior B Hurling Championship

On a lovely evening with a great view of Mount Leinster in the distance, St. Martin’s took on the local side Blacks and Whites in the first round of the championship.  The visitors found themselves 1-5 to 0-2 down after 10 mins as things looked bleak.  However,  Adrian Farrell found the back of the net and Donal Shore pointed to reduce the deficit to two points.  (1-5 to 1-3)  The Skeoughvosteen side were more accurate with their shooting as Jack Dowling and Jamie Byrne traded goals just before half time to leave the score Blacks & Whites 2-10, St. Martin’s 2-5.  The second half seemed to go much the same as the first half with the homeside been much more on target than their counterparts who tried hard but were no match for the Blacks and Whites.  Final score St. Martin’s 2-10, Blacks & Whites 2-21.
