St. Martins and the Rower/Inistioge met in the u14 Roinn B League in Coon. A tight first half left the score at the break 2-5 to 1-2. Against a big team Martins upped their scoring rate and performance to ensure the points , all panel used. Feile run


St.Martins u14 Hurlers had a fine run in the Feile roinn B competition. In the group section they won all their games v Graignamanagh (3-10 to 0-0),v Danesfort (4-6 to 2-1) v Kilmacow (1-10 to 1-3). These games were played in Thomastown. Then it was into the semi-final in Ballyhale  to take on Bennettsbridge which they won 2-5 to 2-1 after the sides had been level at half time. In the final Piltown were our opponents. This game went down to the wire as St. Martins were two points up with two minutes to playbut a strong finish from Piltown gave them victory 2-6 to 0-9. The players were disappointed after the game but on a weekend that every one on the panel made a contribution, they can be very proud of themselves. Second win


St. Martins u14 hurlers recorded their second win of the Roinn b cross over League, they travelled to Gowran to take Young Irelands. Martins had first use of a strong wind and were leading 1-5 t0 1-3. Both sides gave their all in a good contest final score 5-11 to 3-6.

Long Puck


Saint Martins u14 Hurlers held a long puck competition on Sunday 13/3/2016 to select our representative in Gowran Park next Saturday. Those taking part were Thomas Lalor, Shane O Neill, Russel Kiely, Bill Dowling, Matthew Shortall, Patrick Brennan, Josh Dempsey, Thomas Flynn, Kyle Walsh and the winner after a close contest was Jack Farrell. Best of luck to Jack from Bord na nOg.

St. Martins played Gowran in the Roinn A North Group B Football League in Muckalee. In a keenly contested game St.Martins were in the lead at the break 0-4 to 0-1. Gowrans  got in for three goals and held out for a win despite the efforts  of the home side who pressed  hard for an equaliser . Final score Gowran 3-2, Saint Martins 0-8.
