Group Game against the Village


Muckalee picked up their third win in the Senior Football after a victory against James Stephens. The game was played in Larchfield on a day that would do was taken from summer. Muckalee started well and led at the break 2-9 to 0-3. Both goals were well set up and finished the first by Colin McGrath the second by Luke Maher. Muckalee added a further eight points after the break to run out winners 2-17 to 0-7.

Group Game against Glenmore


Muckalee Senior Footballers made the long trip to Glenmore for the second round of the Senior Football League. The game was played in Glenmores splendid new grounds which they have recently moved to. Muckalee had the better start and led at the break 1-5 to 0-1. The goal by Brian Byrne came just before half time when a great counter attack started by the defence and worked well up the field.This was a setback to the homeside who had came more into the game at that stage. The elements were all in evidence all through the game with sun rain hail sleet and a snow shower as the game ended. Muckalee built on the lead in the second half to run out winners 1-11 to 0-1.

Winning start


First Game of 2012 against Kilmogany

Muckalee Footballers made a winning start to the 2012 Senior League . This game was a repeat of last years County Final and Muckalee were winners after a well contested game. Played in Muckalee under lights the score at half time was 1-4 to 0-2. Dunnamaggin came more into game in the second half but a strong finish from the home side set up the win 2-9 to 0-6.

Muckalee football holds its AGM on Saturday at 8 o clock in the Community Centre , all welcome

First Round of the senior football championship will be held on the weekend of the  of February 2nd.

ST Martins Hurling Club AGM will now take place on friday 8th february in Muckalee Community Centre at 8pm

U16 and Minor teams begin fitness training.

After much speculation Charlie Carter has been selected to manage St. Martins Senior Hurling team for 2013. Work will begin immediately and there is much excitement and enthusiasim within the Club who all are lookig forward to working with Charlie in the coming months.
