U14s put up a good fight against Mooncoin.

On the throw in St. Martin’s fought hard and managed to come level on the score board but with a few handy goals by Mooncoin shortly after,  the game began to slip away for the St. Martin’s lads and failed to claw the visitors back.

First Points

St. Martins picked up their first points of the Senior League with a convincing win over Fenians of Johnstown. After these setbacks the team played some good hurling with John Maher  punishing frees conceded   by the Fenians defence . The only goal of the game came before the break when Eoin McGrath  set up John Maher who finished well to give Martins a lead of 1-9 to 0-1.The weather conditions worsened in the second half with severe winds both sides finding it hard to convert chances ,  still management will be fairly happy with the team work and commitment shown by the lads on the night.
