St Martins are Northern Junior A League champions for 2011. They came out on top against Carlow Town hurling club in a well contested game in Nowlan Park.Brian Malone was first to score in the sixth minute put Carlow replied with two of their own .Stephen Murphy was accurate from frees and Kieran Kelly levelled matters when he made a great run from midfield to point after twenty minutes. Damien Tynan had to leave the game injured and was replaced by Dermot Lalor after twenty five minutes.Tom Morrissey added a fine point coming up to the break ,but it was Carlow who then got the only goal from a twenty metre free to lead at half time 0-7 to 1-6.
