St.Martin’s Hurling and Muckalee Football clubs annual benefit night will take place in Kilkenny Track on Friday 26th June at 8pm.Tickets €10, are available from all players and committee members.Ticket prize is one week for two in Turkey staying in a four star hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.Prize is sponsored by Matt the Millers and Marble City travel.

Congratulations to Saint Martins Players who received Senior Sports Personality Awards at the Castlecomer Community Sports Awards Night (21-05-2009).Ann Marie Walsh won the Ladies, Thomas Breen and Canice Maher were joint recipients of the mens.
The awards were presented by Nicky Cashin , guest speaker on the night.

Another good win for U-14


The under 14s played Johnstown  in the 3rd round of the league on Monday evening last 18th May.  They proved much stronger and lead at half time 0-6 to 0-1. Following the start of the second half they got a quick goal and ran out easy winners in the end. Final score 3-08 to 1-03.

Junior B Fixture Change


The Junior B game against Threecastles fixed for next Friday has been changed to Saturday next 16th May at 7.30pm in Muckalee.

Also note that the All County Junior game Fixed for Coon is off.

Martins fade


Saint Martins faded in the second half to loose this second round League game .Martins did best hurling early and led 0-7 to 0-1 half time score 0-7 to 0-3. Dunnamaggin upped their performance to run out winners. Final score: Saint Martins 0-11 to Dunamaggins 1-14
