The u14 won the Declan Byrne Cup in Kilnamagh this evening beating O Loughlins . This game was played in terrible conditions. Martins fought hard for this win and led at half time by a single point 0-04 to 0-03. In the second half Martins held tight and won on a score of 1-10 to 1-03. Well done to everyone.

St.Martins put in a much improved performance in the second half of this Junior Championship.Erins Own had a lead at half time 0-7 to0-5, a mighty clerance from the centre of the Martins defence which ended in a goal,and a goal line clerance set up a deserved win. U14 reach Final of Declan Byrne Tournament
The u14 played 3 games in the Declan Byrne Tournament on Saturday morning. First up was Clara, this game was played in terrible conditions but martins hung on to win by 2-04 to 1-02 . Next was Ballyraggett who put up a good performance but where out scored by a stronger Martins team final score Martins 2-11 to Ballyraggett 1-03.They then had a break before they played Paulstown in the Cup Semi-Final. Martins started well but Paulstown responded and at half time it was 2-03 to 2-0 in Martins favour. In the second half the lads worked hard and fought for every ball to reach the final. Score Martins 6-05 to Paulstown 2-0.

Another win in Byrne Cup

St Martins played Tullogher Rosbercon in the Byrne Cup this evening in Muckalee. Conditions were not good but martins led at half time by 2-06 to 0-04. In the second half martins continued to work hard and won 4-11 to Tullogher 1-11. Next match is on Thursday against O Loughlins in Muckalee.

U12s win well in Castlecomer.
Our Under 12 squad met Erins Own in Ballycomey on Tuesday night 30th June. The team started strong with 1-1 on the score board within a matter of minutes. They showed great skill throughout the remainder of the first half. Erins Own fought back in the second half but our backs and mid field showed great strength on the night and held firm and our forwards got back to scoring form again within 15 minutes to go. They ran out worthy winners in the end after showing a great team effort.
