Martins lose at home in Junior Hurling


Saint Martins and Lisdowney served an enjoyable game in sunny Muckalee. Martins were first to settle and were leading at the interval 0-7 to-0-6. The loss to injury of  Martins Tom Morrissey turned the game in Lisdowney favour  and last years beaten finalists added two late goals for a flattering win .Final Score 2-14 to 0-11

Derby ends in draw


Saint Martins had to come from behind to draw with Erins Own. On a beautiful evening for Hurling it was Martins who got the better start and took a three point to no score lead, Erins Own came more into the game to lead at the interval 0-7 to1-5.The lead changed  during the second half and a draw was draw was a fair reflection of the game.The Freshford Pitch was in super condition.Final Score 1-12  each.

Junior B Fixture Change


The Junior B matched fixed V Cloneen next Sunday is off and will now be played next Tuesday night the 2nd June at 7.30pm in Muckalee.

Another win for U 14s

The u 14 make it 4 wins out of 4.  They played neighbours Conahy in Muckalee on Monday evening.  Conahy started well and after 5 mins led by 1-1 to no score.  Then the lads settled and got some fine points and led at half time by 1-6 to 1-3.  Following the start of the second half  martins got got quick goals and finished easy winners. Final score 5-8 to 1-5. They now are in the League semi-final.

Congratulations


Congratulations to Saint Martins Players who received Senior Sports Personality Awards at the Castlecomer Community Sports Awards Night (21-05-2009).Ann Marie Walsh won the Ladies, Thomas Breen and Canice Maher were joint recipients of the mens.
The awards were presented by Nicky Cashin , guest speaker on the night.

Another good win for U-14


The under 14s played Johnstown  in the 3rd round of the league on Monday evening last 18th May.  They proved much stronger and lead at half time 0-6 to 0-1. Following the start of the second half they got a quick goal and ran out easy winners in the end. Final score 3-08 to 1-03.
