Played in Conahy Shamrocks newly devoleped grounds in Jenkinstown, Martins had to deal with a few early setbacks when reduced to fourteen men  and a bad injury to sterling defender James Dowling . The only goal of the game came before the break when Eoin McGrath  set up John Maher who finished well to give Martins a lead of 1-9 to 0-1.The weather conditions worsened in the second half with severe winds both sides finding it hard to convert chances ,  still management will be fairly happy with the team work and commitment shown by the lads on the night.
